The hard part of an essay is not the typing. It is knowing what you are arguing, in what order, and whether a paragraph actually does its job. That is what Nerdly helps with. Paste the prompt and it asks what you think before it suggests a thesis. Paste your outline and it tells you which point is really two points. Paste a draft paragraph and it says what is weak, names the problem, and leaves the rewriting to you.
What it does
- Thesis. Turns a topic into a claim someone could disagree with, and shows why the first version was a statement of fact, not an argument.
- Outline. Builds the structure for the length you have, with what each paragraph must prove and what evidence would prove it.
- Feedback. In Check my work mode it reads your draft like a tough teacher: the first place the argument slips, the sentence that says nothing, the quote that is not explained.
- Grammar and style. Marks the error and names the rule. Comma splices, dangling modifiers, passive voice where it hides the actor.
Why it will not write it for you
Because the essay is how you learn to think in order, and because most schools call a submitted AI draft academic dishonesty. Nerdly is built to stop short of that line: it explains, outlines and critiques. The honor code says exactly where the line is.
