Nerdly is a tutor, not an answer key. It is built to show the steps, to stop at your first mistake instead of finishing for you, and to quiz you before a test. Use it the way you would use a good tutor: to understand, so the next problem is one you can do alone.
- Working through a problem you were set, then doing the next one yourself.
- Checking your own attempt before you hand it in.
- Getting an outline or feedback on a draft you wrote.
- Quizzing yourself on a chapter.
- Asking why a rule works, in any subject.
Handing in words or work that Nerdly produced as if they were yours, on anything that is meant to show what you know: an essay, a take-home exam, a graded problem set where help was not allowed. Most schools call this academic dishonesty, and the consequences are theirs, not ours. If your teacher’s rules on AI help are stricter than this page, their rules win.
When in doubt, ask the teacher whether AI help is allowed on the assignment, and say so if you used it.
- Any sexual content, and anything that sexualizes a minor. The service is used by minors, and such requests are refused.
- Help making weapons, planning violence, or harming a person.
- Harassing, threatening or impersonating anyone.
- Trying to get the model to break these rules, or sharing ways to.
- Anything illegal where you are.
An account that breaks the terms or this page can be closed without notice, and the unused part of its plan is not refunded. We do not read your questions, so we rely on what the model refuses and on what people tell us; a concern goes to hello@nerdly.us.
